Dreams Really Do Come True

In the second part of Chapter 2, Daniel is now prepared to reveal the content and interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar's terrifying dream. The king’s bad dream will become the unfolding of history; during Daniel’s life, the age of empires was just dawning, and the image Nebuchadnezzar sees in his dreams matches the progression of kingdoms that would reign after him, along with a mysterious kingdom unlike the rest that would last forever.

God reveals - he speaks and is not silent. Through various means, including the decrees of history, we see his sovereign hand. If God so stunningly rules history and has made Jesus Lord of it, the clear response is for us to make him Lord of our lives.
