Don't Be An Idiot
Apr 18, 2021 • Stephen Putbrese
So far, the book of Ecclesiastes has explored a lot about what it means to be a wise person. This week, Solomon reverses the roles and explores what it means to be a fool. As he nears the end of his book, Solomon is imploring his hearers to not listen in vain. Through various proverbs, wisdom, and advice, he is saying, "Don't be an idiot."
The trouble is that we all have a little (or a lot) of fool in us. This teaching aims to show practices to avoid and also provides a way of ultimate escape from folly.
