Simplicity

Just as minimalism can be aesthetically beautiful, it can also be spiritually satisfying. Joshua Becker, a former Christian pastor and one of the founders of the modern minimalist movement defines it this way, “Minimalism is the intentional promotion of the things that bring you joy and the removal of those that do not.”

This is also known as Christian simplicity. The aim of contentment in regards to things is not a specific amount, more or less, but enough, which comes through moderating our desire and need for more. Simplicity is the antidote to the enticing consumer world we live in. This teaching will explore the goal of stuff, the danger of stuff, and how we can appropriately use our stuff.
